the day draws to a close;
this flower stands there trapped;
to the large chaotic world out there, existence of this flower means nothing.

wanted to write a poetry that is, an ode in essence and a sonnet in structure. but stopped with just a quatrain, my extremely limited familiarity with this language made it tough to complete the entire sonnet.
though matched the choices of words to go with the iambic pentameter rhythmic feet, i deliberately broke the ABABABCABC rhyming of sonnet in this quatrain. having spent just a few hours, i couldnot churn out anything better than this.
just as the reflected image of the sun can be seen in a stagnant, still water in a brook or a muddy-puddle, i attempted to mirror or copy keats and wordsworth, without least success. horacian and pindaric odes are totally beyond my capacity.
it is known that odes are written on a reflective mood, about things not present. that contextual, thematic necessary forced me to adapt the title ode. this was about that which could have been present but is not. ode was the way to express it.
it just happened last week that...chrome-browser from the world's best search-engine company LOST ITS WAY to almost all websites, except those with secure connection over httpS.
chrome started throwing error....... network certificate not authentic...or something of that kind.
there are few discussions in youtube that easily betray the thought processes of individuals to considerable extent. those discussions help us identify the good from bad.
EVRperiyaar was of the idea that, indian society as a whole was not just/fair/capable of treating itself/fellow indians with due respect. he is still right.
someone accused that EVR was a crook ! to them....we typed our reply this way while defending EVR.

if your language is great to you. my language is great to me. you worship yours; i worship mine. lets mind our own business. lets not be so nosy to poke into what others should/shouldnot do. you dont have to learn tamil; i dont have to learn hindi. that's it. try to understand this dude. things are much simple dude.
coming to EVR. man.... really you need to LEARN A LOTTTTTTTTTT to know what was the context, the socio-politico-cultural climate in which periyar made extra demands from british before independence. confused!?! it would be. let me explain in a way to suit YOUR understanding.
hindus donot love hindus ! and hindi-speakers donot respect hindi-speakers !! baffled?!?! as late as last july (of 2016) hindus brutally abused and even killed hindus. hindi-speakers killed hindi-speakers. needless to say how savage they are against people from other religions.
SO MUCH FOR YOUR religion and language. i am sure, YOU donot like lower-caste hindus, eventhough they are HINDUS and native HINDI-SPEAKERS. this is the year 2017; this is the condition of inidians after 70years of independence.
EVR knew indians much better; he knew there was no true brotherhood or gentle friendship among indians. EVR knew, you wont let fellow indians speak their own mother tongue; he knew you wont respect "even a hindi-speaker" if he belongs to low-caste. (certainly you wont like tamil-speakers)
but....british people treated everyone equally (equal-slaves). periyar demanded the brits, to give indians a model society in which indians will not turn against fellow indians( based on caste/language/race/gender)
70 years post-independece, there are people to dominate others, in the name of caste/religion/language/race. 70 years later, there are people who think that one language is superior to other languages and that ALLLLL others should learn a language that is spoken by 41% indians as mother tongue. EVR didnot want brits to rule india forever; he just demanded the brits to make the right-set of laws/constitution for indians and then leave.
well. indians like you, donot/cannot even respect other language people, even after 70 years. during EVRs period, people were like almost barbarians that may hate/kill each other. that's what is still happening, even in your argument also.
someone said, mediocre minds cannot understand great minds. EVR belongs to the latter category, and those who question his wisdom belong to the former's category.
