கோபாலய்யங்காரின் தேவதைகள் ?

some may wonder what makes u weave a story of that kind?
simple......inspiration from that very writer himself, about whom the story gives a passing reference.

that post is written in bad taste?
well....then....one has to read three stories of that revolutionary(?) writer!
those 3 stories discuss about a few dramatis personae...

in ஆண்மை....ருக்மிணி.
in பொன்னகரம்....அம்மாளு.
in கோபாலய்யங்காரின் மனைவி....மீனாட்சி.

now....how does he portray these characters?! please....read those stories and observe them "JUXSTAPOSED". draw comparison. find the contrast.

then.....only then....you may have a fair idea about how he paints some (?) in pitch black color.... and how he presents some (!) others in limelight. anddddddddd.......... analyse, WHY SO?

after scrutiny and deliberation.... decide yourself!

*********************************************************************************
அம்மாளு is shown....to sell herself for money. (and you want to argue, that is the effect, poverty has on people? reducing people to sell themselves?) அம்மாளு is shown a slum dweller and PRESENTED to represent subjugated people!
this is what happens in slum side!? whatever.....but THAT....is what the writer WANTS to present to you!

ருக்மிணி IS SHOWN to live 'completely dedicated' to her husband....or....secret paramour if u want to call so. remember....just SHOWN! strange.....her suffering never has SUCH EFFECTS as poverty had on அம்மாளு!!?! no....no.... it wont, because ருக்மிணி is ஆத்தூர்ப் பண்ணை ஐயர் மகளாயிற்றே!
this is what happens in agraHAREMs?! ohhh buddy!!....THAT....is what that writer WANTS you to BELIEVE!

மீனாட்சி?! ....well....even if a கோபாலய்யங்கார் marries her.....his high-born characteristics are soooooooo weak that, in her association, they degrade sooooooooo easily as to make him a drunkard! lowborn meenatchi's etiquette has only a negative effect on gopal. i could not avoid wondering why could his(a collector) association with meena not have any elevating, magnanimous effect on her, in reverse?

well....that NOW-so-called revolutionary writer is NOT ACTUALLY revolutionary! in கோபாலய்யங்காரின் மனைவி, he wanted to warn people that inter-caste marriages are all doomed. those sort of marriages will have only negative, degrading effect on the highborn, because of association with people from lower strata of the social classes.
this is what happens, when people from slums and agraHAREMs get together!? hey come on.... THAT....is just what this revolutionary, modernity-loving writer CHOOSES TO SHOW UUUUUUU!!

in effect, that revolutionary(!) writer was against the idea of inter-caste marriages, though BHARATHI extolled that same gopal-meena marriage.
he wanted to present the high caste people as bright and colourful as he can and the low-caste people as dark as he can.

does it take so much wisdom to understand this? simply observation is enough!

*********************************************************************************

now....in contemporary times.....some want us to believe, he was a revolutionary in writing!!
they want us to believe..... that which looks black, which has a sharp, straight, dark, black beak, which has small, black glossy wings and grayish abdomen, which "caws(writes?)" when he opens his beak and cries....is a parrot. NOT A CROW!

so...believe it! it's a parrot. not a crow! you keep wondering why that parrot looks so black!!
so...believe it! he's a revolutionary writer!!

if he could write ill about gopalaiyangaar and his wife, somebody else also can cook stories about him and his wife too.right?
