though there are many groups- in which i am a member- there were only three groups in which this issue got mentioned just IN PASSING- only ONCE in each of those 3 groups.
first...., in a college group, my batchmate friend who posted the newslink is a native of the locality where the murder took place. his view was neutral towards the incident, and there was absolute silence!
second....., in a linguistic-related-out-of-state-group, there was only one man deplored the incident in his poetry. his view was...more sympathetic towards the murdered & appealed to the murderer's sense of love for his daughter(whom he had made a widow through the murder). and yes, the group with more than 70 people MAINTAINED SILENCE too!

how cool?! and how humanist is the society i am living in!!!? what a morale! what a brotherhood!! what an indianism! what a patriotism!! shit.
a murder in daylight! because of casteism (exactly similar to racism) and in a sample of ~100 people..... only 3 reacted- 1 neutral, 1 sympathised and 1 justifying!!!!

why am i so much concerned? because, i too may meet the same fate! if not today....someday in future! though not for same reason, for the same root cause-casteism. if it were only about myself, i would easily convince myself that...'after all..., everyone dies.and so will i! only the nature of death differs!! i may get lynched or butchered, while others may face it- peacefully lying their heads in the hands of their loved ones,surrounded by friends that bemoan his death'
but...it's not about only myself!
my kid!
he's gonna live in this very society! and i fear for his life and...for millions of kids like him!
you may be good and peaceful, but if you are surrounded by a group of murderers!? what if you are denied a dignified life and reduced to live like a slave by those murderers? none...or...only a handful...are going to stand for justice, after you get killed! what a painful knowledge this is! you live in a society in which you need to lead the life of a slave; ask for equality and get murdered!
i am worried, how safe is the society for my kid and the next generation to live!?
kids, who will slowly but firmly get stratified as they grow, into in-equals! ready to hunt and kill each other!

it was unfortunate to note how the devil works even in educated minds.....in the name of honor!
i am inclined to think, education is not about just reading and writing! it's more about knowing WHAT'S RIGHT/WRONG, than about just reading/writing! it's more about WISDOM than knowledge.
and...when devil teaches in the guise of god, he is most successful in producing devilish followers!

i am inclined to think, education is not about just reading and writing! it's more about knowing WHAT'S RIGHT/WRONG, than about just reading/writing! it's more about WISDOM than knowledge.
