kalabhras களப்பிரர் - 4 - velvikkudi copper plates reveal....

what do those 30 copper plates found at velvikkudi reveal?

once pandiya king- paraandhaka nedunj-chadaiyan ( also called varaguna pandiyan) [ c.768-815 ] was on a procession in the streets on madurai with his entourage, in a general inspection. infront of him comes a hindu-man & prostrates. now the king is elated and enquires about the issue at hand. the hindu-priest-class man says, 'his name is korkai kizhaan naRchingan. one of his forefathers performed yajnas, oblations and other related rituals for one of the king's forefathers'. further submits requests to the king paraandhakan.

the proofs presented to the king suggest, yajna was performed by an old priest( naRkotRan) for an erstwhile king-palyaaka saalai mudhukudumip peruvazhudhi. and as a gift to the priest and his descendants, that king had given the village(velvikkudi) in an area called paahanoork kootram.

naRchingan implored the king to restore his rights over that piece of land, over that village-velvikkudi.

after much consideration, thinking the evidences were true, that king also did as requested.

how come has that old priest's descendants lost their right over that gifted land? it was during kalabhra's reign. no wonder kalabhras were called kaliyarasar, pakai arasar by THAT particular group; kalabhras period of ruling was called dark age, interregnum by THAT VERY SAME group.

one act!

kalabhras nationalized land gifted by an enemy king to his supporter. and kalabhras forever became interloper! and their reign- interregnum!

idiots will repeat these words forever; and that selfish group will silently rejoice forever!!
